The Paragon Effect – Connie's experience with ZO Skin Health
For our second instalment of The Paragon Effect, we’re focusing on wedding skincare preparation, where we’ll discuss how Dr. Rosie helped Connie achieve her dream complexion ahead of her wedding day.

- Connie contacted Dr. Rosie during the first lockdown in June 2020 for a virtual consultation
- She explained she was getting married in November 2021 and her dream was to feel skin confident on her big day
- Connie said she had purchased ZO Skin Health online from another clinic but never attended a consultation and wasn’t given instructions
- Connie provided Dr. Rosie with high quality, makeup-free images so she could properly assess the skin
Presenting complaints
- Connie was concerned about breakouts
- Worried about an uneven skin tone and redness
- Connie believed she had a dull complexion
Treatment process
- Initial consultation virtually due to lockdown
- Skin assessment carried out by Dr. Rosie
- Tailored ZO Skin Health protocol including tretinoin given and reviewed periodically to assess the effectiveness

Treatment plan
- Stage 1 – initial consultation in June 2020, tailored ZO regime given to prepare for wedding in November 2021
- Stage 2 (below) – review of ZO regime, improvement of skin health, radiance and skin tone but breakouts persisted, 2 additional actives added to regime to target this
- Stage 3 (below) – review of ZO regime, the additional actives had reduced the frequency and severity of breakouts, tretinoin introduced to reduce last few breakouts and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
- Stage 4 (below) – final review prior to wedding, tretinoin had taken effect resurfacing the skin to provide an ‘airbrushed’ finish
