The Paragon Effect – Zoe's experience with radiofrequency microneedling
You’ve probably heard us harping on about how amazing the results are that we’ve been seeing from our new treatment radiofrequency microneedling, so we’d like to share Zoe’s story and her experience with RF microneedling.
Zoe is a client of Dr. Rosie’s and was initially apprehensive about having treatment, saying: “Rosie explained the treatment and benefits to me before treatment so I knew what to expect. I was a bit apprehensive to start with as I’ve never had any facial aesthetic treatments, and wasn’t really looking after my skin, but Rosie tailored the treatment to me and with the use of numbing cream it was pretty comfortable.”

To prepare the skin for her 3D Dermaforce RF Microneedling treatments Rosie prescribed her a skincare regime using Teoxane products. This not only ensured that her skin barrier was healthy and able to tolerate the treatment, but that she would also protect her investment and get the best results possible from treatment.
Radiofrequency microneedling combines two of the most effective skin rejuvenation treatments, radiofrequency and microneedling and has often been referred to as the ‘non-surgical face lift’ due to it being an extremely effective skin tightening treatment. During microneedling with RF, tiny sterile needles create microscopic punctures in the skin to deliver radiofrequency energy to specific depths within the skin’s dermis. This heats the tissues and in response more collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid is produced, not only working wonders as an antiageing skin tightening procedure reducing creases in skin, but it’s also the perfect skin treatment for sun damage or as a scar removal treatment.
Although the majority of benefits are seen after a course of three treatments, and then continue to improve with continued collagen production in the following months, Zoe saw improvements in her skin from just her first session.
Because of a medical condition and her previous limited skincare routine, Rosie started Zoe with more gentle settings and was progressive with each treatment. By varying the needle depths and radiofrequency settings, Zoe gained various benefits – shallower needle depths target the epidermis to improve fine lines and pigmentation, whereas deeper needles target the dermis and benefits include in increased skin thickness, reduction of pore size, improved skin texture, reduction in wrinkles, increased collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production.
